Abstract

Early childhood is the golden phase of a child's growth period where brain capacity develops optimally in the intellectual, emotional and social dimensions of the child. Quality early childhood development has been widely recognized as the most important primary investment in human development in Indonesia. Therefore, in forming a golden generation, an accurate, comprehensive and reliable data map is needed as a basis for stakeholders in determining the direction of the next development steps. The presence of data and information on early childhood packaged in the publication "Early Childhood Profile 2023" is expected to be a barometer as an effort to prepare planning, monitoring and evaluation of all forms of policies and programs that have been implemented. This publication contains information on early childhood viewed from various aspects according to the child rights protection cluster, including: civil rights and freedom; family environment and alternative care; basic health and welfare; education, use of free time and cultural activities, and special protection based on data sourced from the results of the 2023 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas).
